My greatest privilege to call you a friend for many years with a great sense of dry humour, rest in peace my friend xx

Fare well, Harry.
As the most thoughtful and caring of men, you and the family were also the very best of our neighbours.

A life well lived, from ’42 begun,
With wisdom and fire, like the rising sun.
Through decades of work in oil and gas,
A mind so sharp, no detail could pass.
With charisma that drew all near,
A Merlot in hand, he’d hold us here.
Fish and chips shared with friends,
Conversations that never seemed to end.
An inquisitive mind, always seeking more,
Economics, politics, and tech he’d explore.
AI and progress, he followed them all,
Yet quick with his temper when fools made him stall.
A husband, a carer, through thick and thin,
For his wife, his strength never wore thin.
Through her battles with MS, he stood tall,
A steadfast companion, giving his all.
Though cystic fibrosis took him too fast,
The memories he leaves are ones that will last.
A life full of knowledge, passion, and grace,
Now at peace, in a better place.
We remember his journey, the man that we knew,
His laughter, his wisdom, his love that was true.
Though gone from our sight, his spirit will stay,
In our hearts, forever, he’ll never fade away.
RIP Harry - I knew you only too briefly but it has been my pleasure.
